Cristo Rey San Diego (CRSD) High School is a nonprofit, private Catholic school that is effecting transformational change in the San Diego community. We provide students of limited economic means with a college preparatory education and unique work study program, so they will graduate prepared to succeed in college and the modern workforce.

Thanks to a $25,000 matching gift from our interim president Deacon Mike Daniels and another $10,000 matching gift from an anonymous donor, the first $35,000 donated to Cristo Rey San Diego on November 29th will be matched dollar for dollar. Double your impact by making a gift today!

Your Gift's Impact

Make a tangible difference in the lives of local high school students by supporting CRSD! All donations made today will support our Sponsor-A-Student fund, which bridges the gap between what students earn through our Corporate Work Study Program (plus modest tuition payments made by families), and the overall cost of their education. For the 2022-2023 school year, the gap is $8,000 for each Cristo Rey student.

Our Corporate Work Study Program funds more than half of the cost of students' education. All CRSD students work five days per month in job placements at a variety of local companies and nonprofit organizations. One of our students is Sebastian (Class of 2025), who is in his second year of working at Rady Children's Hospital. Last year, one of Sebastian's primary work projects was creating Covid-19 test kits for families, which he said helped him learn good time management skills. He wants to go into nursing when he grows up.

Donations made to the Sponsor-A-Student fund provide Sebastian and his fellow students with opportunities to pursue their dreams. A Cristo Rey education ensures they are both college-ready and career-prepared.

About Cristo Rey San Diego

Cristo Rey San Diego is a non-profit, private Catholic school that provides a college-preparatory education and unique work study program to underserved and under-resourced students. CRSD's mission is to educate young people of limited economic means to become men and women of faith, purpose, and service, who are prepared for life. It is the 37th of 38 schools in the national Cristo Rey Network, which began in 1996. The Network boasts 25,800 alumni and a 90% college enrollment rate. Students who graduate from Cristo Rey schools enroll in college at rates exceeding total enrollment for both the high and low income populations. They also go on to earn Bachelor’s degrees within six years at rates over two times higher than their demographic peers. In the finest tradition of Catholic outreach, students of any faith, race, color, gender identity, sexual orientation, and national and ethnic origin are welcome at Cristo Rey.
