A new school is serving the students of Southeast San Diego!
Since August 2020, Cristo Rey San Diego has offered students from Southeast San Diego a life-changing opportunity. Open exclusively to students of limited financial means, Cristo Rey San Diego provides a faith-based learning community that educates young people to become men and women of faith, purpose, and service. Through a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum, integrated with a relevant work-study experience, students will graduate ready to succeed in college and in life.
All Cristo Rey students work one day each week in an entry-level corporate job to cover most of the cost of their education. The combination of rigorous college preparatory academics and an innovative, four-year work study program results in setting well-rounded individuals with grit and confidence on a path for success in college and in life. Cristo Rey students work at top companies like CBRE, Rady Children's Hospital, Latham & Watkins, Realty Income, and Precision Diagnostics.
